Initial Assessment

An initial assessment is required prior to performing any treatment to the presenting injury/ complaint.

This entails taking a history of the injury and any relevant past medical history. Following this an examination is performed- testing to relevant areas and identifying the exact structures involved in the problem area. A working diagnosis is given and a treatment plan is made that includes the time frame  for recovery and an initial exercise plan to improve movement and strength. The initial assessment does include treatment of the problem/ injured area.
